Join us in experiencing great music, performed with great passion under the direction of Maestro Peter Lipari. The West Suburban Symphony family of musical performing groups is dedicated to bringing audiences the best in symphonic, chamber and choral music.

• Since 1947, the internationally acclaimed West Suburban Symphony Orchestra has enriched the quality of life in both the Chicago area and Great Britain (see Our History). Each year, this group performs 6-8 concerts of large-scale symphonic classics and popular music, with a complement of 70-90 players.
  
  
• The West Suburban Symphony Chamber Orchestra debuted in 2004 to standing ovations. Performing in intimate venues, this group gives 3-4 concerts annually of contemporary and classical music written for ensembles of 30-40 players.
  
  
• In 2003, the West Suburban Symphony Singers debuted to rave reviews. The chorus performs classical and popular works 2-3 times a year in joint concerts with both orchestras, typically with 60-80 voices.

West Suburban Symphony players perform at the annual Christmas Walk sponsored by the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce.

Through these performing groups, the not-for-profit West Suburban Symphony Society:

• Offers Chicago-area audiences both intimate chamber music and grand works for symphony orchestra and chorus, in convenient suburban locations.
  
  
• Inspires thousands of young people annually with the power of live music through special educational concerts, in-school docent programs and free concert admission for preteens.
  
  
• Provides a stage for outstanding local soloists in all stages of their musical careers: from high school students selected in an annual competition to established professionals.
  
  
• Gives rewarding performance opportunities to nearly 200 volunteer players and singers annually.

We are proud to partner with other community groups in our efforts to enrich cultural life in the Chicago area. The West Suburban Symphony Society is a member of the Hinsdale Center for the Arts and the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce.
