MOE DIXON, guitarist and singer, is one of the top solo artists in the country, specializing in fingerstyle and ragtime guitar. His magical performances are highlighted by masterful guitar playing, powerful vocals and ingenious song writing. He is a familiar name on the festival and club circuit across North America and Canada, as well as at Copper Mountain ski resort in Colorado. Dixon's poetic song writing is filled with his optimistic vision of life, inspired by an abundance of outdoor adventures.
His audiences connect with his energy, turning each performance into a celebration.
Moe spends his winters skiing and entertaining at Copper Mountain, where he's renowned for
enticing visiting "lowlanders" (people who live near sea level) to dance in their ski boots,
at an elevation of 10,000 feet, after a full day of skiing. He's been a ski racer and a ski
instructor for the U.S. Olympic Team. In the summer, he windsurfs near his home in the state of
Washington, rides his mountain bike and motorcycle, and kayaks, when he's not entertaining at
festivals across the nation.
His connection to the audience is highlighted during his remarkable and energetic guitar solos. In addition to performing his own songs, Moe performs pieces originally written for multiple guitars, playing all the parts himself on one instrument. Amateurs are dazzled; professionals come to learn.
