Please join us for our first live concert since March 1, 2020. Led by Maestro Peter Lipari, our symphony orchestra will present some of classical music’s most popular, and most emotional, masterpieces. Selections range from the somber, remembering the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic, to the celebratory and triumphant.
The program includes Barber’s reflective Adagio for Strings and Mahler’s poignant Adagietto from his fifth symphony, as well as Copland’s gentle Saturday Night Waltz and Hayman’s joyful "Pops" Hoe-Down. The orchestra will also perform Berlioz’s spirited Roman Carnival Overture, Rimsky-Korsakov’s resolute Procession of the Nobles from the opera Mlada, the life-affirming finale of Beethoven’s Symphony 5, and the booming finale of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
Audience members will be seated on the lawn for this outdoor concert and are invited to bring a picnic meal.
